Unexplained Infertility - Effective Holistic Natural Solutions Available
If you're having difficulty getting
pregnant, this is not a problem you suffer by yourself. Many women experience infertility. The good news is,
there are natural, holistic solutions to infertility that can work.
This is especially true if your infertility has no easily discernible cause, like blocked fallopian tubes, that
allopathic medicine may be able to fix.
Although pregnancy is often thought of as the "most natural process in the world,"
in fact, there's a lot that goes into getting pregnant.
You as a woman have to produce a viable egg every time you ovulate, and your partner must produce healthy sperm to
fertilize the egg. Further, the process has to come together just so, so the pregnancy occurs. This can actually
happen only a few days a month for most women, so it's a good idea to be prepared.
Determine when you're ovulating
If you're having difficulty conceiving, the first thing to do is
determine when you ovulate. Generally, this period of time happens around the 14th day of your 28-day cycle. Some
changes you may experience when you ovulate are a slightly higher body temperature, changes in cervical mucus in
that it becomes thicker, and sometimes, abdominal pain that signifies ovulation has taken place.
Watch what you eat
To a significant degree, your diet and lifestyle have a big
influence on whether or not you are fertile at any given moment. Maintaining a normal weight can help with
infertility, in that if you are significantly over or underweight, you may have difficulty
conceiving.
If you're trying to become pregnant, the food both you and your
partner in jest should be as healthy and wholesome as possible. Watch junk food and alcohol intake, and watch
caffeine intake, too, since this can increase the stress levels and reduce chances of pregnancy.
Because you're trying to "make a baby," what you eat will directly
impact not just your fertility but the health of your baby once you do become pregnant, too.
Therefore, make sure your diet includes only whole and healthy foods, things like lean meat, omega-3 fatty acids
and monounsaturated fatty acids, complex carbohydrates and plenty of fruits and vegetables.
(Fish is a very healthy choice for your diet as well, but watch what you eat and make sure especially to avoid fish
that can contain high levels of mercury, like albacore tuna. Most experts say that it's healthy for a pregnant
woman to ingest "safe" fish -- that with low levels of mercury -- two times a week.)
Herbs and supplements that can help with
fertility
Certain herbs and other supplements can help with infertility,
too. For example, antioxidants like vitamin C help both you and your partner produce quality eggs and sperm, which
increases your chances of becoming pregnant.
Specifically for your partner, zinc can help with sperm motility and boost testosterone levels, and calcium and
vitamin D can help improve male fertility (which is indirectly important to your fertility, too); you'll be
healthier if you ingest these things, too.
Specifically for women, herbs like chaste berry and dong quai can
balance hormone levels and improve the chances that a fertilized egg will actually implant into the uterine
wall.
Finally, make sure you get enough exercise and sleep enough. You
should be exercising robustly at least 30 minutes a day, three to five times a week.
This is imperative for fertility as well as overall good health. Adequate sleep, too, will increase your chances of
becoming pregnant, since sleep deprivation will increase your stress levels and make it even harder to
conceive.
